Gourami’s are great fish for the beginner
The Gourami species of fish has a nice variety to choose from. There are also a bit of cross breeding producing some really colorful fish. My favorite are the Blue Gourami these fish are a great schooling fish. I have a school of ten in my seaclear aquarium. They are a docile breed for the most part. They get along with most other fish. They can be a bit aggressive though while breeding. This can lead to some fin nipping fights and a lot chasing of other fish. Normally these spats do not cause death and are rather fun to watch. They are great to watch.
