<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I have to create a relational database using microsoft access for the school swim team, displaying times, meets, etc. The only problem is I&#8217;ve never used Access before and have ZERO clue how to use it! I&#8217;ve been trying to do research on my own for several weeks now but everything I&#8217;ve found online has been very confusing. The database has to be relational and must include things like queries etc. any tips?<br />
<br />How do i create a relational database using microsoft access?</p>
<p>Creating an Access &#8216;relational&#8217; database is not an intuitive process and as already correctly pointed out but requires a bit of learning and some research.</p>
<p>I hear what you say regarding &#8216;confusion&#8217; when reading about this topic and hopefully I can provide some help (which is not confusing) on my website.</p>
<p>Take a look at http://www.about-access-databases.com and look at this page to start with http://www.about-access-databases.com/database-design.html (Designing and implementing). If you follow through the links this should start to shed some light on the matter.</p>
<p>In any event, it will take some planning and understanding before building the database and this is something only you can invest your time into.</p>
<p>If you need some help and further clarification on my topics I recommend, please feel free to email.</p>
<p>Good luck.<br />

The website I am creating will require a database to store customer usernames and passwords, to include previous purchase history with my website. <br />Hey John,</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll admit, I don&#8217;t know alot about database building, but&#8230;</p>
<p>I use SBI (Site Build It!) and my website is extremely successful for it&#8217;s first year.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m assuming you know &quot;techie language&quot;, and a site-builder seems like a tool for newbies. You can definitely upload your own HTML and it comes with really powerful tools that most web designers don&#8217;t even have access to.</p>
<p>So basically, you may have to upload a third party subdomain to accomplish the database part (they highly recommend this one service that works together great with SBI! that can handle what your looking for, but I can&#8217;t remember what it&#8217;s called.)</p>
<p>And they really teach you how to rank super high in the search engines (they have a countless number of customers that hit the top 1 percentile of internet traffic)</p>
<p>I did an un-biased review on my website about SBI and I think it&#8217;s worth checking out..(watch the 2 1/2 minute video)</p>
<p>If it&#8217;s not for you, I wish you the best of luck. Web design can be pretty complicated doing it the old fashioned way.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Hi, I have a site where each time you view a particular page (with a corresponding entry in the database), it adds 1 count to the fields weekplays and totalplays. How can I get it so that every week, it automatically resets weekplays to 0 for all the pages? By the way, the reason I have this field is to show the top grossing just for a single week, then reset. Thanks!<br />
<br />you need some form of &quot;chron job&quot; or script to run once a week that will perform those actions. I can&#8217;t name any, because I haven&#8217;t used them before, but try searching for use to program a chron job <img src='http://subeijihua.org/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

And it will also be sorted by type of business. I am trying to give the person a reasonable rate. Any help would be appreciated. I want to do a flat rate. The list will contain 200 Businesses.<br />
<br />when I estimate a programming project, I define all of the requirements from the users and come up with the time it &quot;should&quot; take to create. Then I use that number and multiply it by my hourly rate. If you feel that amount is too much, then adjust it accordingly.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I would like to create a Access 2007 database to track all my meetings and keep track of who attended them. What would be the best way to structure my database to do that?<br />
<br />What is the best way to structure a meeting database?</p>
<p>Depending on your knowledge of Access and the time you have to commit to creating a database you have two routes:</p>
<p>1. Use the templates provided in Access (both on and off line) to find a &#8216;Contact Management&#8217; style that meets to your nearest requirements. Follow the links and prompts and you have a database ready to go. You will probably need to modify and enhance certain objects (fields, queries and reports) so some knowledge of Access will be required.</p>
<p>2. Plan, design and implement a database from scratch! If you have the time and knowledge this will be the best approach as you control everything from the start. But as I say it will require some of your time. To help decide if you feel comfortable, take a look my articles using this link http://www.about-access-databases.com/database-design.html</p>
<p>Hope this helped<br />

<br />You must add a user_name field to your database tables and build a query that select data using user_name as a criteria.<br />
Besides using select * from table_products, you should use select * from table_produts where user_name = &#8216;xisto&#8217; .<br />
You can also use groups because they are easier to control/administer than users.</p>
